RBI Authorisation for IMT
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has granted a Certificate of Authorisation to Empays to operate the Instant Money Transfer (IMT) payment system. You can look up Empays in the list of entities authorised by the RBI under the Payment and Settlement Systems Act, 2007 here.

The following banks have gone live with the IMT Payment System. Please contact your bank for more details on how to send/receive IMT payments.

Temporary changes to IMT transaction limits
The RBI, vide its circular issued on January 30, 2017 has partially restored status quo ante for cash withdrawals (RBI/2016-17/213 DCM (Plg) No. 2905 /10.27.00/2016-17).
Taking cognizance of this notification and clarifications received from RBI, as a licensed Payment System Operator we wish to inform you that temporary restrictions placed on IMT payments have now been lifted.
